Sending A Sea Full Of Love

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As challenge hostess for the month I continue to issue the challenges.

Being the third Saturday of the month, it is  time for a Sketch challenge.

As I have been having so much fun creating Slimline card, (I believe this is the 10th Slimline Card I have posted in a row the past week and a bit) ... I decided to tweak the sketch a tiny bit and change it from a normal sized card to a Slimline card.

I used Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set for the main background panel of my card. I die cut this panel from white cardstock and then white embossed Hero Arts' Bubbles Bold Prints onto the panel and used Distress Oxide inks to add the color to the panel.

I have had this large Seahorse sitting on my desk for about a year now, I think it was a birthday present last year, so I figured I should get it out and use it on this card. I die cut the seahorse from white cardstock and then used Catherine Pooler inks to add color to the seahorse using blender brushed.

I added there stars to the left side of the card, using the cut out stars from Mama Elephant's Star Grid Window die, and then adding the word "SEA" to the stars offsetting the white letters over the aqua letters slightly.

I needed to add the beginning and end of the sentiment that worked with the word "SEA" to the top and bottom of my card and this sentiment came from an older Honey Bee Stamps Mermaid Song stamp set.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set. I added another of the sentiments from the Honey Bee Stamps stamp set that I used on the front.

I added three smaller seahorses which are also included in the Hero Arts Paper Layering Seahorses die set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
